SPECIAL TRANSFERS FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE
This
service is particularly helpful to the elderly, infirm or
non-confident traveller that requires help to get through
the airport. All EC Airports are required to offer this
service to anyone who needs it. Please remember that due to
new EC regulations, you must register with your airline as
PMR (Person Reduced Mobility). This will ensure you get
wheelchair assistance from the aircraft, through the
airport, passport control and baggage collection and out to
the point we can take over and assist you through to your
Orange Bus and on to your accommodationr.
Golf
groups, windsurf boards, bicycles etc can all be catered
for. Independent travellers use us because we can offer a 24
hour emergency number for the duration of your holiday.
This
service is only available only if you book transfers with us
and is not available 24 hours. As this service is very
popular, please contact us before making any firm bookings
to ensure availability.
If you use
our transfer service in conjunction with our mobility rental
service then we can ensure your equipment is delivered as
soon after your arrival as possible, or, in certain
circumstances we can have your mobility scooter waiting at
your accommodation for you.

How does it work?
On exiting the baggage hall, you
need to look out for Kim or Liz who will be wearing
a distinctive orange blouse. Both have worked in the
tourism sector for many years in Tenerife and can
help you if you have any problems on your arrival.
They will then help you out to our special Orange
Bus which has ramps and air conditioning.If you have
booked equipment we confirm the delivery
arrangements with you. |

We need to
know your name, flight number, departure airport and
estimated time of arrival. In addition we need to know the
number of people in your party and who is in wheelchairs or
scooters. Whilst we are very used to dealing with the
disabled please help us to help you and make sure you tell
us of any special requirements you may have, for example
spinal injuries where headroom is important. Please contact
us with full details of your requirements.

Once you have connected with Kim or Liz they then
escort you to your specially ramped Orange Bus
We have our own transport fleet of mini buses
run by our sister company Orange Bus. If you get
into any form of (paid for) transport that does not
have an SP plate (by the number plate normally at
front and rear) then you are potentially putting
yourself at risk as the driver does not have legal
insurance to carry passengers. |
